“Teto Teto” stands for “Hand and Hand,” capturing the essence of connection through craftsmanship.

Established in 2020 in Shizuoka, we’re all about valuing the communication that unfolds from hand to hand, face to face, embracing the shared warmth and atmosphere.

Our gallery features unique, often one-of-a-kind pieces from craftsmen, as well as carefully selected items with a refined sense of beauty that can only be produced on a slightly larger scale.

Our aim is to convey this tangible warmth and texture to our visitors, inviting them to a future lifestyle enriched by the intricate, humble, and discreet charm inherent in Japanese aesthetics.

Craftsmanship at its Finest

Gallery Teto Teto brings together the best of Japanese craftsmanship, from time-honored folk and artisanal crafts to modern everyday essentials.

Our gallery and lifestyle store showcases a rich array of items from across Japan, each embodying the pinnacle of “iki,” a multifaceted term that — in the case of craftsmanship — stands for purity, excellence, sophistication, and a nuanced understanding of art and life.

We take pride in presenting the finest traditional techniques that have been treasured nationwide, alongside innovative products that incorporate these ancient skills into the now.

Your relationship with the art here at Takumishuku is just the beginning. A visit to Teto Teto afterwards will offer new insights and add an extra layer of enjoyment to your appreciation of skilled craftsmanship.

Bringing Artisan Crafts into Everyday Life

The term ‘crafts’ might conjure up images of items too delicate or challenging to blend into your living space.

If you’re new to the world of artisan crafts, Gallery Teto Teto is the perfect place to start. We showcase how craftsmen continuously evolve the art. Stop by, say hi, and appreciate the pieces up close.
